BRITISH COUNCIL APTIS CERTIFICATE
By Moisés Chargoy
My experience with the APTIS test.
First, I want to thank the Escuela Normal de Los Reyes Acaquilpan, because they gave me the opportunity to apply to this test.
I didn't know about the existence of this kind of exams until one of the English teachers called me to tell that I was chosen to do this test. First, the teacher requested me some information about me, he said that applying to the APTIS certificate is a privilege, and I have to respond to it, how I would do it? Easy, studying and working the school's English Platform.
The place to do the exam was the Escuela Normal de Atizapan de Zaragoza (ENAZ) so far away from my school, almost 3 hours of distance, so very early in the morning, I met the teacher at the school and we started our way to the ENAZ.
The first day (the exam has a duration of 2 days) was the most boring because it was a simulation of the real exam and a lot of explanations about the questions in the exam, I mean, that class is very important, but very boring as well. That class lasted 6 hours, from 9 am to 3 pm. It is important to say that the whole class was in English, everyone talked English the whole day, not because the Spanish was prohibited, they spoke English just for pride. It sounds funny, but it is true.
The week passed very fast, and the day of the exam came, June 28, that was the chosen day. I was nervous and my mate Nancy ♡ too, but I always seemed secure of myself, because the fear is a contagious poison.
The British Council people started to call everyone, they gave me a computer with headphones and a microphone, and my sessions codes too. The exam was online, in a platform, they gave me some codes to insert in the page, one code per ability, one for speaking, one for grammar, one for reading, one for listening and one for writing. That was a nice detail, practically I could do the exam in the order that I wanted to. I took this order: grammar, writing, reading, listening and speaking in the end.
Almost all the exam was easy, except for the speaking part, because there I had to describe a picture and answer some questions about it, then I had to think very quickly. In the other parts, I just had to order phrases, paragraphs, write answers in a determined situation, listen to conversations and answer a question about it. I finished the test in 2 hours, approximately. After the exam we went to El Porton to take breakfast, that was my favorite part.
Finally, on July 15th, the exam results came to our teacher, I was afraid about it, but when I saw my results that fear became into happiness, I reached the B2 level, same as my mate, Nan♡cy.
I recommend to all the schoolmates be clever, brave and intelligent, English is more than a course, it is an opportunity and it´s worth all the time spent on it.
“ THE LIVING MUSEUM”
By Nancy Reyes
With the fine attention, let me introduce myself, I am Nancy Araceli Reyes López, current student of the Normal School of the Reyes Acaquilpan, member of the 1st "II" of the degree in primary education, I share this time an opinion article about an activity developed in the institution that I mentioned is where I study, which was carried out concluding the second semester and that was an activity that takes by name and was about a "living museum" where all the students of 1st, which are three groups (1 ° "I", 1 ° "II" and 1 ° "III") chose an important or prominent character of the history of the world in terms of different categories, such as, for example, the history, art, politics and science.
In the development of this event, each section was formed on the outside
of the library to wait for the presentation by the classmates of 1st
"I" (Fatima and Gustavo) who participated as drivers of the event, to
start to the activity and that each set in rows would enter waving to the crowd
that would act as a spectator until arriving at the place where they would
present their work causing an interest in the public for the creativity of the
students in terms of the physical representation of the characters, in addition
to the I want to listen to how they use the language of English respectively to
the structure of dialogue and pronunciation as well as the performance skills
of each student.
Giving continuity to the event, the spectators
(directors, teachers of the institution, classmates of other grades and parents)
approached the character they wanted to hear and played their shoulder gently
and the character began to speak, in this way the spectator gave a star with a
quantitative value which was a symbol that denoted a qualification as an
encouragement to work and dedication to each of the students who represented
their assigned character.
That is why it was understood that the activity
was to encourage cognitive exercise in students as well as generate a
remembrance of analysis, reflection and identity through graphic
representation, all with the purpose that in the didactic process that this
implies generate a critical and comprehensive thinking in their academic
training as to cultivate in the student this type of activities will give a
wide range of strategies when it is in the educational level that corresponds
and in turn can transmit this identity to their students since English is an
important competence in the profile of graduates in primary education because
it opens many doors in the professional field.

THE STUDENT'S DAY CELEBRATION.
Around 7:00
a.m. teachers and students of the Escuela Normal de los Reyes Acaquilpan,
celebrated the day of the student. We went to the resting house “Sor Juana Ines
de la Cruz”, and when we arrived to the place, students and teachers started the
activities of presentation. We started with games in teams or groups, later we
started to play sports in other groups.
Later the
students went to the pool where the students played volleyball, swam, and
sunbathed under the sun. They also took pictures, played in the water and enjoyed
the day.
At lunch time,
the students and teachers joined in the auditorium where we enjoyed the
delicious food in company of the teachers and school friends. Later in this
place, the students started the talent show where they sang and showed their
talents. The teachers gave a present to
all the participants.
After that,
some students went back to the pool once more. Other students slept in the
garden, walked and listened to music, and took a break. The professors stayed
with the students and asked them if they had enjoyed the day.
Finally,
all the school community gathered together, went back to the buses and took the
way home.

THE LIVING MUSEUM
SOCIETY
What Is A Living Museum?
A living museum is one where the past is recreated and often involves the use of costumed interpreters or historians.
A living museum or a living history museum is a museum that recreates historical settings to replicate past time periods. The objective of living history museums is to provide visitors with a practical interpretation of the past. They bring history to life by imitating the conditions of a natural environment, historical period, or culture to the fullest. Living museums use various interpretive techniques such as exhibitions and costumed historians who represent historical characters to make simulations of past periods as authentic as possible. The key difference between a living museum and other historical sites is that living history museums give interpretations in the first-person present.

SURPRISE EVENT TO PAMPER THE TEACHERS
By Malinaly Calderón 1st Grade, Group 3.
Around 12:00 p.m. the
teachers of the Normal School of “Los Reyes Acaquilpan” were surprised by the
teacher's day event, organized by the third grade students, with the
collaboration and support of the groups of the institution.
All the groups met around the esplanade and the professors were placed in the center. The administrative staff and the quartermaster, also attended the celebration. The menu consisted of tacos and soft drinks.
The students of Third Grade were in charge of the organization which included games for the teachers, competitions, and a musical show accompanied by Mariachis.
How could we forget about the teacher Michel playing the lottery along with teacher German, teacher Bruno and teacher Braulio.
The professors received a surprise at around 1:20 p.m. when the Mariachis arrived to the celebration. So, they started happily singing and we can say that the ENRA has very good singers. When the Mariachis ended, everyone got up to dance to continue with the festivity. Later on, the teachers were given a small present and recognition prepared by all the students of the institution.

I interviewed some tutors who gave me their
comments about the event:
comments about the event:
I found the event very enjoyable, I liked the
organization and the way they led themselves. The games were also adequate to encourage teachers. In general it was a pleasant celebration because it did not go unnoticed on the teacher's day. I liked the mariachi and the food too; I would only like to thank the students.

The event was very well organized, the responsible
students knew how to direct well and adapt it for the teachers. It is a great
challenge to take that initiative and the responsibility. I want to thank the
entire school community for the organization.

CONGRESO Y ENCUENTRO ESTATAL FORTALECIMIENTO ACADÉMICO DE LA EDUCACION NORMAL.
By Diana Yoely Guzmán Osorio
On May 23, I attended the Normal Physical Education of
Toluca to participate in the conference and workshop of the British Council, I
had many nerves, emotions, and feelings found by the great opportunity that my
Normal School had given me. The institution was huge, with green areas,
cooperatives and in its entrance there were large letters that welcomed
everyone who attended the congress, after a few photographs we went to the
courtyard that was between the corridors. There were teachers of all kinds, students
and support staff specialized in English, for me it was so impressive to see
how many professionals currently exist in search of a better Mexico.
At the end of the corridor, there were a few computers
that allowed us to register and take assistance, they gave us a badge with our
respective data, a bag with support materials on the teaching-learning of
English, a notebook and a schedule of workshops that specified the topics to
address and schedules. When walking around the place where we were we saw so many
tables full of coffee, sandwiches and water, so we took a little time to have
breakfast before starting the activities. Later we attended the auditorium to
open the workshops, there were very important people in the field of education,
because it was the general secretary of education, the director of the British
Council, a representative of President Alfredo de Mazo and secretary of Normal
Education, each one gave some words in appreciation of the attendance, offering
words about the great importance of the language and its teaching-learning.
I can say that all the people who were in the place
had a good command of English because of the great talks they had in the
language and the authentic activities that were being promoted. That is why you
had to have a good command of the language both to listen to it and to speak
it since all the workshops were given with the help of teachers and normal
students. Before describing the workshops I will talk about the introduction of
them. There was a dialogue about the promotion of ludic activities in the
classroom for learning English, techniques, strategies and some activities that
promote the reach of academic and life skills were shared. They also talked
about the characteristics and the specific profile that every teacher should
present.
There were approximately 7 classrooms equipped as workshops, each with a specific theme to address, which could be chosen by the teachers themselves and students for example, the following were the themes of the workshops: 1) Materials for basic education, 2) exploration of action research, 3) international mobility, 4) creativity, motivation and technology, among others.
At first I attended the workshop of champions, we shared professional experiences, characters and groups about the problems that have developed in the learning of English. Something that I liked very much that I was an English teacher from Chimalhuacán who impressed me because of his great knowledge not only language but also education, that is why I affirm that every teacher must have educational, foreign and didactic knowledge.
Later we attended the exchange workshop with other countries and was one of the ones that I loved the most because they talked about real experiences that occurred in other countries such as Italy, the United States and Canada. They showed us pictures of their experiences and each one was accompanied by an anecdote that changed people's lives. Finally the teachers did not invite to live these experiences in person and I can say that it was one of the classrooms that allowed the constant exchange of ideas and knowledge between students and teachers.
Finally, the technology workshop provided with some
tools and elements that allow us to learn the English language from
applications or accounts that promote the interest and encouragement of
students and teachers. They helped us to recognize the great importance that
technology has today and that should be exploited to the maximum in the proper
use of the language. The techniques they used for participation and the
contribution of ideas were very creative because they enlivened the sessions
and helped create an environment of trust.
After the third workshop we attended the auditorium to
close the congress and workshops with the help of thanks, comments and
evaluations of it. I can mention that it was very rewarding for me to be part
of this great experience because I learned and lived very fruitful things for
my personal, work and academic formation, now I have another conception about
the implementation of educational projects for the better learning of the
English language because the improvement and perseverance will help us reach
further as people and as a country. That is why I emphasize the great
commitment that teachers of basic education have in forming leaders of the
future.
Sharing experiences of the professional practices of teaching and learning English gives us new knowledge that allows us to value our educational practices based on other opinions, forms of work and ideologies and thus acquire new techniques and tools to develop them with our group. It is very fruitful to attend conferences and workshops that enrich the mastery of the language through the dialogue established by recognizing both the failures and the successes of the practice itself.

It is very fruitful to attend conferences and workshops that enrich the mastery of the language through the dialogue established by recognizing both the failures and the successes of the practice itself.
Currently the learning of this language is not only a tool, but a need of the human being to be able to communicate and relate in a globalized country, in which its teaching-learning depends to a large extent on the materials, resources, conditions, motivations on the part of the teacher and especially of the commitment in their academic performance of the students when assuming this opportunity.
Being able to listen to real experiences and share personal and professional experiences in the foreign language, I realize the importance of updating, teaching commitment and above all overcoming that every professional should develop in the future. Most of the people who shared their experiences had had the opportunity to go to academic exchanges with other countries and it is impressive to recognize that Mexico is having an extremely important advance in education.
That is why I invite my colleagues from the Normal School of the Reyes Acaquilpan to witness an unforgettable experience in the use of the foreign language to express and listen to real experiences to acquire the necessary knowledge and thus promote with their students the scope of new learning. Key in the second language. Returning to the SEP (2018) the great responsibility that the teacher has in front of the educational quality is the commitment of the integration of learning from the communicative exchange. As fruit of Mexico we must be constant, builders of our own knowledge and that of our students, drivers and above all the success of the future.
Learning English is not an easy task, but overcoming and motivation are the main pioneers for a better learning that will be the foundation of a professional in the field of teaching, being able to achieve the personal and social achievements that are proposed.
